CLASSES

Big Sky Dog Centre is located at 4445 Florida Road,

Harrowsmith, Ontario. The training facility is a 40'X65' heated building with AstroTurf.

CLASS DISCRIPTIONS 

 

**FLATWORK/FOUNDATION CLASSES** -

4 Week course. Geared towards puppies 4+ months old, and is a requirement for ALL NEW DOGS to take to participate in my programs. This class focuses on connection with your dog, balance and rear end awareness. Equipment use: wobble boards, planks, ladder, Fit Paw items, cones, teeter, table, tunnel, jumps/bars and tire.

**Dogs/puppies MUST have basic obedience (come, sit, stay) as there will be 4 dogs working mostly off leash during the class. 

​

BEGINNER AGILITY CLASS -

5 Week course. *Must have completed Flatwork/Foundation classes.

Continue to connect with your dog while learning most of the basic equipment set at the lowest height.  Continued cone work from the Foundation class.

 

SKILL BUILDING 1 

5 Week course. Your dog will be introduced to all equipment and start short sequences. Handlers will start to learn handling techniques previously learned during the Flatwork class.  Dogs must be 10 months old to start 2X2 weave training (entries only). 

 

SKILL BUILDING 2 - 

5 Week course. Continue building skills with higher equipment and longer sequences. Handlers will continue to learn and apply handling techniques previously learned during the Flatwork class.

SKILL BUILDING 3 -

5 Week course. Continue building skills with higher equipment. Handlers will continue to learn and apply handling techniques. 

​

COMPETITVE  AGILITY STARTERS - 

4-5 Week intervals. Dogs should now be able to preform the contact obstacles at full height. Weavepoles should be coming along (if the dog is over 1 year old). The goal is to continue and learn about the sport and to continue to grow in confidence.

COMPETITIVE AGILITY ADVANCED AND MASTERS

4-5 Week intervals.
